If he calls/texts/IMs/ emails after 10pm, it's a booty call.

Yesterday I was booty called by Matt otherwise known as "Re-return". I got home from a marathon shopping trip with my friend, J, in Cincinnati. I left my apartment at 9:00am and didn't return until after 8:00pm... like I said, a marathon. When I get home, I change into my pajamas and cuddle up on the couch with my computer. I sign into google to check my mail and almost instantly Matt IMs me. (Sidebar: I deleted Matt's information from my phone/email/facebook awhile back. Trust me, it's better that I don't have his contact information.) I look at the name and I know its Matt (even though I deleted it, doesn't mean I don't recognize it). We small chat for a bit, attempting to catch up when all along I know what he's waiting to ask me... "so what are you up to tonight?" I explain I just got done shopping and that I was watching TV. I ask him what he's up to and he responds... "nothin'. Just having a beer and being horny" pause for a few seconds "you want to come over? I know you want to suck my dick." The message was sent at 10:16pm.

I respectfully declined his offer to "suck his dick". He asked if I was offend by his upfront-ness. I said I wasn't and that I wasn't in the mood for a booty call. He explained it wasn't a booty call but just an opportunity for us to have some "fun" together(...aka a booty call). I explain again I wasn't angry or put off my his offer, I merely wasn't in the mood to do anything, much less him. We chatted for a little bit after but he eventually trailed off towards the end of our conversation. My guess is that he found another girl to accept his lame booty call invitation. I give him another few weeks before I get the same message. Will I ever give in to his lame booty call attempts? At this point, probably not but I'd be lying if I said I hadn't before.

Anyway...the moral of the story is: if he contacts you after after 10pm... it's a booty call.

Seriously... stop hanging out with ass-holes who have the audacity to say, "you know you want to suck my dick" Seriously? I would have bitch slapped him through the screen and told him "suck your own dick, I'm busy."

It's Monday, Dec 12. I just jumped online to check my mail and get signed on to messenger. Within minutes, Matt IMed me about "having some fun". The time stamp: 10:45pm. I told you he would be back... he was even early this time.

Welcome to My Blog

After some encouragement from friends and the death of my Grandmother, I've decided to chronicle the search for "my one". For the last two years I've been searching for the man who could be "the one" for me... otherwise known as "my one". I've done a great deal of thinking and over thinking about this subject. Maybe putting my thoughts down on paper (and out there for thousands of people to read) will somehow be therapeutic. I hope you enjoy and please feel free to comment. The Story of How Betty and Sam Met

The story of how my grandparents (Betty and Sam) met has been passed down from mother to daughter for the last 60 years. My grandmother told my mother, my mother told me, and one day I will share the story with my daughter. It is a rare story about true love. This story is the inspiration for my search for love.

My grandparents met in February of 1945. My grandfather was on leave from the military and waiting for the bus one afternoon. My great-grandfather drove by and asked my grandfather if he wanted a ride (apparently this was normal in 1945). They started talking and my great-grandfather invited my gradfather over for dinner. Later that evening my grandfather came over for dinner. My grandmother, dressed in her factory clothes, opened the door to greet my grandfather. She was so embarrassed she slamed the door in his face ran up the stairs to change. At dinner, my grandfather asked my grandmother out to dinner the next night. My grandmother said no because she had to go buy a baby gift. After being asked several more times by grandfather, she finally agreed. The next night the two went shopping for a babyshower gift. The sales clerk at the store asked my grandfather what size dress their litter girl wore. My grandfather turned to my grandmother and said "I don't know. Dear, what size does she wear?" Embarrassed, my grandmother left the store. My grandfather followed her out and purposed to her outside the store. Three months later, they were married.

Their marrage was cut short in 1968 when my grandfather died of a heart attack. My grandmother passed away on December 1, 2009. She waited 41 years to be reunited with my gradfather. This story shows me that love is out there, I just have to find it. Let's hope Betty and Sam can show me the way.
